MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball launched three home runs in a 7-3 win against Dartmouth Saturday afternoon at Patriots Point.

The Cougars improve to 12-5 overall and have won four straight games. The Big Green slip to 0-8.

Senior
Aidan Hunter earned his fourth win of the season, allowing three runs over five innings. Hunter had zero walks and has allowed just one across 26.1 frames.

Freshman
Landon Penfield was the first to leave the ballpark in the second, followed by graduate
Avery Neaves in the third and senior
Dylan Johnson in the seventh.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST DARTMOUTH:
- Penfield blasted an opposite field homer to give the Cougars the 1-0 advantage.
- After surrendering three runs in the top of the third, Charleston leveled the game on Neaves' two-run blast before Penfield tripled home Johnson.
- The Cougars tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the fourth and fifth innings before Johnson's solo shot in the seventh.
- Pendergrass reached base in all five plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a run scored, three walks and three stolen bases.
- Penfield finished the day a double shy of the cycle.
- The trio of graduate Mike Eggert, sophomore Hayden Thomas and senior Davis Aiken threw four scoreless innings of relief to secure the victory.

- Charleston improves to 2-0 against Dartmouth in the all-time series.
- CofC hit three home runs in a game for the first time since May 6, 2023, against North Carolina A&T.
- Pendergrass tied his career high with three stolen bases, the third time he's achieved the mark this season and second time in the last three games.
- Pendergrass improves to a perfect 16-for-16 in swiped bases.
- Charleston improves to 95-33 when allowing three-or-fewer runs and 72-29 on Saturdays under head coach Chad Holbrook.
- CofC has hit at least one home run in each of the first five innings and the seventh.
- The pitching staff has allowed just one walk in the last two games, the fifth time this season of one walk or less.
- The Cougars have hit eight home runs in eight games during the month of March.
