
Cougars Receive WNIT First Round Bye

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team will compete in the WNIT for their second consecutive year, earning a first-round bye. The Cougars will face off against the winner of Siena vs. Howard.
The Cougars enter postseason with a 24-7 record, achieving their winningest season in program history with a victory in the CAA quarterfinals over Delaware. Charleston advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament before falling to Campbell.
Charleston reached the second round of the WNIT last season, defeating USC Upstate in the opening round before falling to Illinois State.
Date, time and location of the second round is yet to be determined.
