CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing won the SAISA Women's Team Race Championship and finished second in the SAISA Women's Fleet Race Championship, qualifying for ICSA Nationals in both regattas. The Cougars also placed third at the Thomson Trophy.

CofC went a perfect 7-0 to capture the Women's Team Race Championship while totaling 33 and 24 in its boats for 57 total points and second in the Women's Fleet Race Championship. USF took first in the fleet race with 46 points.

Nationals will take place in late May in St. Mary's City, Md.

The Cougars took third in New London, Conn., after going 10-11, earning the tie breaker over Rhode Island and the Coast Guard. Harvard won the race with an 18-3 record.

Charleston is set to compete in the SAISA Open Fleet Race Championship and the Boston Dinghy Cup April 19-20.
