CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston sailing won the SAISA Open Fleet Race Championship and finished fifth at the Boston Dinghy Cup.

With the first-place finish in Coral Gables, CofC won three of the SAISA Race Championships and have qualified for ICSA Nationals in all four regattas, which takes place in late May in St. Mary's City, Md.

The Cougars' boats garnered 24 and 38 points for a total of 62 points to win the regatta. Host Miami finished second with 73 points while South Florida's 120 points rounds out the top three.

CofC took fifth in Boston, picking up 46, 36 and 43 points for 125 total points. Roger William's won the regatta with 80 points. Harvard (102) and Brown (112) rounded out the top three finishes.

Charleston is set to compete in the Team Race Nationals April 25-28 in Providence, R.I.Â
