CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston beach volleyball team will head to Foley, Alabama to compete in the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Beach Volleyball Championship starting on Thursday, April 24. The No. 5 Cougars will face No. 2 Georgia State at 12:00 p.m.
With a win, the Cougars will play again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday against the winner of No. 3 UNCW and No. 6 Southern Miss. With a loss, the Cougars will play the loser of the Seahawks and Golden Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25.
Charleston is coming off two tight matches at the Charleston Beach Classic. The Sandy Cougs took two tight duals off the UNCW Seahawks at the 2s and 5s.
The Cougars took Georgia State to a fifth and deciding set at the last meeting between the programs on March 28 at the Sun Belt Midseason Tournament. Ella Duffner and Emily Banitt won in two sets at the 1s while Sophie Hays and Cassie Thayse won in three sets at the 4s.
