MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball lost to No. 19 Northeastern, 6-0, Thursday afternoon at Patriots Point. With the loss, the Cougars will face No. 6 seeded Elon in the elimination bracket Friday morning.

CRITICAL POINTS AGAINST NORTHEASTERN:
- Senior Tyler Sorrentino extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a single in the third.
- Northeastern plated a pair of runs in the first for an early 2-0 lead.
- The Huskies collected solo homers in the third and fifth frames before a two-run shot in the seventh added a pair of insurance markers.

OF NOTE:
- Charleston is now 15-22 all-time against Northeastern.
- Redshirt junior Alex Lyon appeared in his 30th game of the season and 77th career relief outing.
- Lyon's 30 games in relief are tied with five pitchers for the sixth-most in program history, most recently accomplished by Davis Aiken in 2024.
- Sorrentino's 16 game hitting streak is tied for the tenth-longest in school history. Cole Mathis recorded a hit in 16 straight ballgames last season.
