
Women's Soccer Travels to High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will travel to High Point to play Sunday August 24 with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ainsley Chunn dominated against South Carolina at home with a career-high eight saves. Chunn allowed only one goal, playing all 90 minutes against No. 21 USC. The Cougar earned CAA Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
On attack, Emma Wennar and Caroline Fowlkes led the stats, Wennar tallying five shots and Fowlkes taking the lone shot on goal for the Cougars.
High Point Panthers sit on an 0-2 season, falling to ranked No. 14 Virginia Tech 0-2, and Western Carolina University 0-1.
Charleston's record is now 0-1. Charleston and High Point have met three times before, the Cougars taking all three matches. In 2008 and 2024, High Point traveled to Charleston, where they were defeated by the Cougars 1-0 and 3-0. In 2009, the teams played at a neutral site where CofC won 2-0.
College of Charleston looks to defend the program's record as they travel to North Carolina. This will mark the first time the Cougars have battled at High Point.
The match will be streamed on ESPN+ at 1:00 p.m.
