9/6/2025 11:42:00 AM

CHARLESTON, S.C. -  The College of Charleston women's golf team opens the 2025-26 season at the 21st annual Cougar Classic September 8-9 at Yeamans Hall Club.

The Cougars are coming off a historic season, ending the campaign as CAA Champions for a record sixth time, having won four tournaments and earning the program's 11th appearance in a NCAA Regional.

Charleston returns seven members of the 2024-25 team in Adrian Anderson, Molly Hardwick, Raegan Propes, Taylor Sieg, Amy Staveley, Emilie von Finckenstein, and Emilia von Glahn. Anderson, Hardwick, von Finckenstein, and von Glahn all represented the Cougars at the CAA Championship and NCAA Charlottesville Regional.

Carys Fennessy and Immy Williamson will make their Charleston debut at the Cougar Classic with Fennessy earning a spot in the opening lineup

Hardwick, a senior from Nashville, Tenn., earned All-CAA First Team honors last year after posting five top ten regular season finishes, culminating in a T3 finish at the 2025 CAA Championship. She ended the regular season with a 72.1 adjusted scoring average.

Classmate Adrian Anderon earned a spot on the All-CAA Second Team or the second consecutive season. The Murrells Inlet native led the Cougars with a second-place finish at the 2025 CAA Championship after sinking back-to-back birdies to seal the title for Charleston. Anderson ended the year with a 73.4 scoring average.

Cougar Head Coach Jamie Futrell earned his sixth CAA Coach of the Year honor in the spring after guiding the program to its third CAA crown in the last four seasons. The longtime head coach, who is entering his 30th season with the Cougars, saw his team lift the conference title for a league-record sixth time. His 41 wins are the seventh most among active coaches in NCAA Division I women's golf.

Von Finckenstein led Charleston at last year's Cougar Classic with a top 20 finish at T18 (+1).  The team will tee off on Monday at 8:30 a.m., playing with N.C. State and Florida.
