Men's Soccer Hosts USC Upstate

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's soccer team returns to Patriots Point on Tuesday, September 9 to host in state for USC Upstate. Action is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Cougars will be looking for their second win at home and of the season against the Spartans.

Charleston is coming off a 1-0 loss at Elon on Saturday to begin CAA play. Ben Bagshaw led the Cougars on the road with two shots on goal followed by Ben Baldwin with one. The Phoenix were the first team this season to hold the Cougars without a goal.

Bagshaw leads Charleston with six points on the year followed by Pavel Dashin with four.

The Cougars defeated the Spartans 5-1 last season in Spartanburg. Current Cougars Ezra White and Matt Lenert each contributed a goal in the victory.

USC Upstate enters the contest 1-2-1 on the year. The program is led by Oscar Kelly with six points so far this season.

Tuesday's contest will serve as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night for College of Charleston employees.
