CHARLESTON, S.C. -  The College of Charleston women's golf team finished T6 out of 18 teams at the 2025 Cougar Classic to open the 2025-26 season. The Cougars defeated seven Power 4 programs and earned their best finish at the annual tournament since 2022. 

The Cougars ranked third among the field in par 3 scoring (3.05) and fourth in total birdies over the three rounds (44).

Adrian Anderson and Carys Fennessy led Charleston with top 20 finishes at T17 (-1). Anderson along with Molly Hardwick (+3) paced Charleston during the final round, turning in matching 71 even par rounds. Amy Staveley, playing as an individual, turned in the overall top Cougar round of the day at 1-under.

In addition to a top 20 finish at her first collegiate tournament, Fennessy led the field in par 3 scoring (2.75) while Anderson ranked ninth in total birdies (12). Anderson climbed nine spot from her day one finish at T26 while Hardwick jumped 14.

The Cougars return to action September 19-21 at the Mason Rudolph Invitational hosted by Vanderbilt.
