
Women’s Soccer Travels to Hampton

Charleston, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's soccer team will travel to Hampton, Va. on Sunday, October 4, to face Hampton in a conference matchup.
The Cougars are coming off a 1-0 loss to Monmouth on Saturday, September 27 at Patriots Point.
Graduate student Mia Vrataric earned her first start in goal for the Cougars, collecting three saves to hold the match scoreless going into halftime.
Ainsley Chunn took over between the posts to begin the second half and recorded two saves of her own.
Monmouth pulled ahead in the 51st minute, finding the back of the net on a low shot from a cross.
Ellie Stewart and Mary Martin Spinner each recorded shots on goal but were unable to get past the Hawks defense and fell, 1-0.
Sunday's match will mark the fifth meeting in program history between Charleston and Hampton, with Charleston leading the all-time series with a perfect 4-0 record. In their most recent meeting, the Cougars defeated the Pirates 4-0 in 2025 at Patriots Point.
Hampton enters the season with a 2-8-1 overall record and currently sits 0-3 in conference play. Most recently, the Pirates defeated South Carolina State 1-0 on Wednesday, September 30. The Cougars faced South Carolina State on Thursday, September 3, and secured a 4-0 victory.
