
Charleston Sweeps Hofstra

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's tennis team (7-5, 2-1) swept Hofstra (2-10, 0-1) at the Turner Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
"We had a great team effort against a much improved Hofstra team," Head Coach Angelo Anastopoulo said. "We played some of our best tennis of the year today."
Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle teamed up to sweep court two, and Jaiden McKee and Saige Severance collected a dominant 6-1 win in slot No. 3 to clinch the doubles point for the Cougars.
Riley Trinkle quickly earned her second win of the day as she swept court four 6-2, 6-1 to open singles play and give CofC a 2-0 advantage. Sia Cariov kept the momentum going for the Cougars as she earned a 6-1, 6-2 straight set win on court one.
Francesca Salvato then clinched the match for Charleston with a 6-3, 6-1 win in slot No. 2. After the Cougars clinched the match, Isabella De Luise won 6-4, 6-2 on court six, while Olivia Bull tabbed a 6-4, 6-3 win in the fifth position and Marra Bruce completed the sweep for the Cougars with a 3-6, 6-1, 1-0 win on court three.
