
Charleston Set for Two CAA Matches

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston women's tennis team is set for two CAA matches this week. The Cougars will first face off against Elon on Tuesday afternoon before taking on Drexel the following day.
"We are in the thick of CAA play with two important conference matches in a row," Head Coach Angelo Anastopoulo said. "A big step in securing a spot in the CAA Championship will depend on the outcome of these matches."

MATCHUP HISTORY VS. ELON — Charleston is 15-7 all-time against Elon. The Cougars have won three of the last four contests against the Phoenix, including two sweeps last year.
SCOUTING THE PHOENIX — The Phoenix are 1-0 in CAA play and swept N.C. A&T in late February. Elon is 10-3 overall and the Phoenix have won their last three contests.
MATCHUP HISTORY VS. DREXEL — Charleston holds a 4-1 all-time record against Drexel and defeated the Dragons 6-1 last season.
SCOUTING THE DRAGONS — The Dragons are 3-1 in CAA play and have beaten Stony Brook, Towson and Monmouth. Drexel is 7-4 overall and the Dragons are coming off their 4-3 win over Monmouth.
AWARDS – Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato earned Coastal Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week honors on March 10 after helping Charleston earn the critical doubles point in the Cougars 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Bulls.
LAST TIME OUT – The Cougars won all three of their matches last week, including two wins over CAA opponents in Towson and Hofstra.
UP NEXT – CofC will be back in action on Saturday, March 28 for a home CAA matchup against N.C. A&T. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m.
