
Charleston Collects Fifth CAA Victory

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The College of Charleston women's tennis team (11-6, 5-2) rolled through singles and collected its fifth CAA victory with a 5-2 win over Campbell (4-11, 2-1) at the Nisbet Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.
Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato won court one, but the Camels earned victories on courts two and three to claim the doubles point.
Cariov quickly tied the match as she earned her second victory of the day with a pair of 6-2 wins on court one. Riley Trinkle then gave CofC the lead with a 6-2, 6-3 straight set victory in slot No. 6 before Oziera Ahmad rolled past her opponent 6-2, 6-4 on court two and gave CofC its third point of the afternoon.
Marra Bruce then clinched the match for the Cougars with a convincing 6-4, 6-3 triumph in the fourth spot, while Saige Severance won a third set tiebreaker to give the Cougars their fifth point.
The Camels won court three in a third set tiebreak to make the final score 5-2 in favor of the Cougars.
