Women's Tennis Hosts UNCW for Senior Day

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston women's tennis team is set to close out the regular season with a home match against UNCW at the Turner Tennis Center on Saturday morning.
Saturday will also be senior day and the Cougars' two seniors – Jaiden McKee and Francesca Salvato – will be honored.

MATCHUP HISTORY VS. UNCW — Charleston is 19-6 all-time against UNCW. The Cougars defeated the Seahawks in the first round of the CAA Tournament last year, and CofC has won the last three matches against UNCW.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS — The Seahawks are 10-4 on the season and are 5-1 in CAA play. UNCW is coming off a 4-3 win over Campbell and has also beaten Stony Brook, Hofstra, Drexel and Towson in conference play. The Seahawks are 3-2 on the road this season.
AWARDS – The Cougars have earned two Coastal Athletic Association Doubles Team of the Week awards this season. Most recently, Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle earned the honor on March 24 after going 3-0 on the No. 2 court and helping Charleston earn two conference wins. Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato earned the award on March 10 after winning on court one and helping Charleston earn the critical doubles point in the Cougars 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Bulls.
LAST TIME OUT – The College of Charleston women's tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over South Carolina State at the Turner Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.
UP NEXT – The Cougars will wait and see what the rest of their season holds. The CAA Tournament field will be voted on by a committee and the six team field will be announced on Monday, April 13.
