
Women's Tennis Set to Face Campbell in CAA Quarterfinals

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The No. 3 College of Charleston women's tennis team is set to face No. 6 Campbell in the CAA Championship Quarterfinals on Saturday evening.
The championship will be hosted by William & Mary at the Mackesy Tennis Center and first serve for the Cougars' quarterfinal match is set for 6 p.m.
MATCH #23 — No. 3 College of Charleston (15-7, 6-2) vs. No. 6 Campbell (7-12, 3-2) | Friday, April 17 | 6 p.m. | Mackesy Tennis Center | Williamsburg, Va.

MATCHUP HISTORY VS. CAMPBELL — Charleston holds a 4-4 all-time record against Campbell. The Cougars earned a 5-2 road victory over the Camels on March 30 this season.
SCOUTING THE CAMELS — The Camels finished the season 7-12 overall, and 3-2 in CAA play. Campbell closed out the season with a 4-3 win over N.C. A&T and also defeated Hofstra and Stony Brook in CAA matches.
CAA CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY – The Cougars made the CAA Championship match in 2014 and 2015, but are still seeking their first CAA Title.
AWARDS – Sia Cariov was named the Coastal Athletic Association Player of the Week on April 14 after earning a pair of singles victories in the No. 1 spot and helping Charleston earn a crucial league win over UNCW. Additionally, the Cougars earned two CAA Doubles Team of the Week awards this season. Most recently, Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle earned the honor on March 24 after going 3-0 on the No. 2 court and helping Charleston earn two conference wins. Sia Cariov and Francesca Salvato earned the award on March 10 after winning on court one and helping Charleston earn the critical doubles point in the Cougars 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Bulls on Friday.
LAST TIME OUT – The College of Charleston women's tennis team earned a 5-2 victory over UNCW on April 11.
