
Cougars Dominate Lady Bulldogs

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's tennis team (14-7, 5-2 CAA) cruised to a 6-1 victory over South Carolina State (2-11, 1-5 MEAC) at the Turner Tennis Center on Thursday afternoon.
Charleston won the doubles point as Jaiden McKee and Saige Severance dominated court three (6-1), while Oziera Ahmad and Riley Trinkle paired up to win court two in convincing fashion (6-2).
Trinkle then opened singles with a quick 6-1, 6-1 sweep on court six to give CofC a 2-0 advantage. Following Trinkle's victory, Jaiden McKee won 6-1, 6-0 on court four before Sia Cariov won 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 1 slot to clinch the match for the Cougars.
Marra Bruce got Charleston's fifth point with a 6-2, 6-2 win on court five and Oziera Ahmad won 6-2, 6-4 to give CofC its sixth point.
South Carolina State won in straight sets on court three to make the final score 6-1 in favor of Charleston.

UP NEXT – CofC will close out the regular season with a home CAA match against UNCW on Saturday, April 11. First serve is set for 10 a.m. Saturday will also be senior day, and Jaiden McKee and Francesca Salvato will be honored.
