Biography

GRADUATE (2024-25) 
  • All-CAA Third Team. Averaged 13.7 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game, shooting 41% from the field in his first season with the Cougars.
  • Made a season-high nine field goals with seven treys in win over Campbell.
  • Went 8-14 for 21 points at W&M.
  • Made a season-high 8 field goals for 24 points vs. UNCW
  • Scored 26 points vs. Hampton, his high as a Cougar, while going 5-9 from behind the arc.
  • Had 22 points vs. Northern Kentucky, going 5-7 from the field
  • Earned his first Cougar start vs. Liberty in the Field of 68 Tip-Off.
  • Scored 18 points in his first career game as a Cougar to go with a career-high six assists in double OT win over FAU.
SENIOR (2023-24 at Lipscomb): 
  • All-ASUN Second Team
  • Lipscomb's leading scorer at 17.6 poins per game, ranking 4th in the ASUN in the category
  • Played in 22 games with 20 starts before a season-ending injury
  • Fourth in the ASUN in field goal percentage (52.6%)
  • Averaged 44% from three-point range
  • Scored double-digits in 19 games
  • Had a career-high 38 points at FGCU (1/25/24)
  • Added 15 assists and seven steals on the year
JUNIOR (2022-23 at Lipscomb):
  • Named ASUN Newcomer of the Week (2/27)
  • Turned in a commanding first season in the Purple and Gold as one of two Bisons to compete and start in all 33 games
  • Finished the season second on the squad in total minutes played (911), field goals made (122), total points (345), and steals (26)
  • Ended the season third on the team in 3-pointers made (41) and free throws made (60) and fourth on the team in defensive rebounds (101), assists (50), and blocks (10)
  • Finished the season ranked 15th and 16th in the ASUN for 3-point percentage and field goal percentage respectively
  • Recorded 16 double digit point performances including five 20+ point performances with a season-high 24 points against North Florida (2/16)
  • Logged nine 5+ rebound nights with a a season-high nine rebounds against Louisville (12/20)
Transferred to Lipscomb from Georgetown College in the summer of 2022 with three years of eligibility remaining.

SOPHOMORE (2021-22 at Georgetown College):
  • Guided Georgetown College to a 25-8 mark while starting all 33 games.
  • For the second-straight season he was named to the Mid-South Conference First Team after leading the team in scoring at 16.7 points per game.
  • Ranked sixth in the conference in scoring while also averaging 4.9 rebounds (2nd on team), 3.1 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
  • Shot 48.2 percent from the floor (204-423) and drained 40.3 percent from three-point range (62-154).
  • Drained 82-of-100 at the free throw line.
  • Named the 2022 Mid-South Conference Outstanding Player of the Tournament, pouring in 19.7 points and 5.0 assists in three games in the tourney.
  • Boyd earned Honorable Mention on the NAIA All-America Basketball Team after guiding the Tigers to a Mid-South Tournament title. 
  • Helped the Tigers to a No. 5 seed in the NAIA Tournament.
RS-FRESHMAN (2020-21 at Georgetown College):
  • Led the Tigers to a 16-8 record while making starts in 22-of-24 games.
  • Earned First Team All-MSC honors and was named the MSC Freshman of the Year.
  • Averaged 16.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
  • Helped Georgetown to a No. 2 seed in the NAIA Tournament. 
FRESHMAN (2019-20 at Georgetown College):
  • Redshirted his first season at Georgetown College.
PREP
  • Prepped at Caldwell County HS under head coach Daniel Kukahiko where he finished fourth on the school's career scoring list with 1,911 points and fifth with 633 rebounds.
  • In his four-year career with the Tigers, he averaged 17.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game.
  • He was also a career 82-percent shooter from the charity stripe, making 428-of-524.
  • Racked up 186 assists, 174 steals and made 149 three-pointers at CCHS.
  • In 109 career games played, he scored double figures in 79, reached 20+ in 49 and eclipsed 30+ in 13.
  • Averaged 24.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals during his senior season in 2018-19, draining 58 triples.
