Mitchell, who earned third team honors from the league's media last season, leads the Cougars averaging 15.1 points per game and is the only player in school history to record 1,000 points, 300 assists, 300 rebounds and 200 3-pointers in a career.
This is the 12th consecutive season (each year of Division I status) at least one CofC player has earned all-conference honors. The Cougars were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference (1993-94 through 1997-98) before joining the SoCon in 1998-99.
The Cougars (18-9, 10-6 SoCon South) will take on the winner of The Citadel/Appalachian State winner in the quarterfinals of the 2005 Kyocera Southern Conference Championships on Thursday approximately 30 minutes following the 6:00 game.
The Southern Conference Sports Media Association will announce its all-conference team and award winners on Tuesday, March 1.
