Men's Soccer Battles Army to 2-2 Tie in Two Overtimes - CofCSports.com--Official Web site of College of Charleston Athletics

Lloyd Osafo scored Army's first goal on an assist from Kevin Larrabee in the 11th minute of the first half. Osafo's goal gave Army a 1-0 lead going into the second half.

In the second half, Army's Dave Ausman scored in the 73rd minute to give Army a 2-0 lead.

The College of Charleston kept their composure and quickly started their comeback as Jeff Files scored on an assist from Ricardo Diaz Granados in the 74th minute.

In the closing minutes of the game, Ricardo Diaz Granados tied the score at 2-2 after scoring a goal with a rebound of his own shot.

The game ended in a 2-2 tie after two scoreless overtimes.

The College of Charleston outshot Army 22-6 and had eight corner kicks to Army's zero.

The Cougars return to action for the second day of the Army Tournament in West Point, New York when they play Lehigh on Sunday, September 1st, at 1:00pm.
