Rachel Magory and Maxine Capewell didn't allow a game against them to lead the College of Charleston women's tennis to the 7-0 win over the Appalachian State Mountaineers this afternoon in Boone, NC.
The Cougars improve 14-6 overall and 7-1 in the Southern Conference. Appalachian State falls to 8-9 overall and 1-6 in the league.
All the singles matches were won easily, with the closest margin a 6-4 first set by Whitney Malina and a 6-4 second set in Andreea Niculescu's match.
The Cougars took the number one and two doubles by scores of 8-0 and 8-1 respectively, while the third doubles was a close one with Malina/Moreira defeating Salem Kirven/Victoria Moody edging the Mountaineers, 9-8.
The Cougars travel to East Tennessee State April 4th for a 10:00 AM match.
