Lance's distance of 165-05 in the hammer throw gave her first place. The next best throw belonged to Brenda Tolsma of Liberty, who recorded a distance of 136-01. Lance took second in the discus with a throw of 133-00.
Summer Chambless finished second in the pole vault after a vault of 9-11.75. Chambless also earned a sixth place finish in the javelin with a toss of 89-06.
In the long jump, Dominique Boone finished third with a distance of 16-03.00.
Cassandra Yarborough finished fourth in the 200 meter dash after posting a time of 26.50.
The Cougars will be back in action next Friday when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to take part in the Weems Baskin Relays at the University of South Carolina.
