#articleRelated { display: none !important; } Kosha Lance finished fourth in the discus, hammer throw and shot put and Ashley Arnold finished first in the 5k as the College of Charleston competed at the Weems Baskin Relays in Columbia, S.C. on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, Lance finished fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 147-02 and Summer Chambless finished second in the pole vault with a vault of 9-06.50 to lead the Cougars. Chambless also earned a fifth place finish in the javelin throw with a throw of 84-03.

Arnold earned her first place finish in the 5k after posting a time of 17:44.68 as she topped the second place finisher, Bonnie Axman from Frostburg State, by over a minute. Kathryn Boettcher was third in the event with a time of 19:04.84.

Lance had throws of 36-11 in the shot put and 127-00 in the discus to earn two fourth place finishes on Saturday.

The Cougars will be back in action at UNC Wilmington next weekend.
