Chambless And Goodwin Break School Records At Bagwell-S

Summer Chambless and Clare Goodwin set new school records in the javelin throw and the 100 meter hurdles respectively as the College of Charleston's Track & Field team competed at the Bagwell-Settle Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern.
Chambless's throw of 110 feet seven inches beat the old record by over five feet while Goodwin's time of 00:17.18 breaks her own record of 0017.23 set earlier this season at the Shamrock Invitational in Conway, S.C.
Chambless also took home first place in the pole vault with a mark of 10 feet 11 and three-quarters inches in the event. Goodwin also had a high placing in the 400 meter hurdles finishing fifth with a time of 1:12.53.
Wells Trompeter and Ashley Arnold finished third and fourth respectively in the 1,500 meter run with time of 4:51.46 and 4:55.60. Dominique Boone also placed well in the high jump with a mark of four feet 11 inches in the event.
Goodwin's mark of four feet seven inches in the high jump event was a personal best to go along with her record-setting performance. Also Kate Hausmann set a personal record in the discus throw with a mark of 112 feet four inches.
