CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston softball team has introduced its own Twitter account, @CofCSoftball, to provide fans with another way to stay up-to-date on Cougar softball.
Stories posted on cofcsports.com, as well as quick in-game updates and short tidbits of information will be posted when relevant to give fans another way to keep up with the Cougars.
The in-game updates are designed to supplement the live stats and game broadcasts and provide fans with perspective to what's happening on the field. In addition, out-of-game posts will keep fans posted on statistical rankings and other achievements as well as the day-to-day activities of the team.
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that provides fans with up-to-date information on a variety of topics. Twitter updates provide people with unique information about whatever topic, person or group they choose to follow.
Fans with their own Twitter accounts can sign up to follow @CofCSoftball to get notifications every time a post is added about the Cougars.
Non-members of Twitter can still read all of the posts without creating their own accounts. Simply access the softball team's Twitter page regularly for updates.
