CONWAY, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team set 25 personal records over the weekend at the Shamrock Invitational, a three-day outdoor meet hosted by Coastal Carolina.
Highlighting the meet for the Cougars was the school record breaking performances of Tiffany Sisk in the shot put as well as the 4x200 relay team, comprised of Christa Horrocks, Lindsey Peterson, Rachel Leder and Lorna Doucette, who smashed the previous school best mark with a time of 1:43.24.
“It was a great meet for us,” said College of Charleston head coach Amy Seago. “From one meet to the next, we've shown tremendous improvement. From 14 PR's last week to 25 this week, I think that really shows our development as a team. We had huge improvements across the board.”
Here is a quick look at the action both on the track and in the field:

Track Athlete of the Meet:
Alexia Neal (So. /Beaufort, S.C.)
Head coach Amy Seago on Neal's performance…
“Alexia didn't join us until late in the season last year, but we knew that given a year of training and focus, she was going to perform really well in the hurdles. She did that in this meet and we're really proud of her.”
In The Field!
The Cougars performances on the field were highlighted by Sisk, who broke a school record in the shot put with a mark of 14.22m, breaking her previous mark of 13.99m. Joining Sisk were Alex Coyle and Lexi Wilkins who both set new PR's in the hammer throw, while Roshani Glover hit a personal best in the long jump.
Athlete of the Meet
Tiffany Sisk (Fr. /Spartanburg, S.C.)
Head coach Amy Seago on Sisk's performance…
“Tiffany set a huge PR in the shot put. In a lot of ways she broke down the mental barrier that was keeping her from posting big marks like that. We're excited to see where she is capable of taking this momentum.”
