CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston's men's soccer team (5-5-2; 2-1-2) travels to Philadelphia to take on the Drexel Dragons (2-8-1; 1-3-1) on Saturday.
Originally scheduled to be played at 7 p.m., the contest will now commence at 4 p.m.
The Cougars have been undefeated in the past four games, riding a three-game winning streak into Saturday's action with victories over North Florida, James Madison, and No. 15 UNCW. The Cougars beat the Seahawks 2-1 with Eli Dent scoring the final goal of the game. Eli Dent and James Nicholson are tied for the most goals scored this season with three each. Dent also leads the season with the most assists overall. CofC goalkeeper Kevin Shields has 34 saves for the season with a save percentage of .750.
The Cougars and Dragons have played four times on record, with CofC going undefeated in the past three encounters. The last time the teams met was during last season's regular season finale, when Paul Burdick scored the lone goal of the game to lift the Cougars to the 1-0 victory.
Drexel's two wins this year came against Pennsylvania and Northeastern, with a pair of 2-1 victories. The Dragons defeated Northeastern in overtime with Sebastien Cabral, who is the team's top-scorer with three goals, scoring the game winning goal in that game. Jacob Jordan has accumulated 71 saves for the season with a save percentage of .732.
The Cougars go into the contest in a tie for third place in the conference. A win and a Hofstra loss to William & Mary would propel CofC to second place in the conference.
