MT. PLEASANT, S.C. --- The College of Charleston and UNC Wilmington will resume their rivalry on the diamond this weekend, when the Seahawks come to Patriots Point for a three-game set in Colonial Athletics Association play. First pitch on Friday is slated for 6:03 pm; Saturday's game has been pushed back to 4:00 pm from 2:30 pm, while Sunday's game remains scheduled for 1:00 pm.

The Cougars fell to Georgia Southern on Tuesday night by a tally of 8-4 after leaving the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the ninth. Dupree Hart, Erven Roper, Logan McRae, and Tommy Richter each collected two hits on the night.

Five Cougars have posted a reached base streak of at least 11 games this season, with Tommy Richter carrying a current 15-game span into Friday's outing. Logan McRae owns the team's longest streak of the season at 15 games, and is currently riding an eighth-game stretch; Erven Roper has reached safely in seven straight contests.
Arms on the Rebound
The Cougar pitching staff bounced back with a strong weekend against Hofstra, surrendering four runs and striking out 28 batters in a 2-1 series victory. Freshman Jakob Frishmuth delivered perhaps his best performance of the season on Saturday, tossing six and two-thirds shutout innings to earn his first collegiate win. Nathan Ocker struck out a career-high nine batters in a six-inning effort on Friday, while Griffin McLarty tallied seven K's in two and one-third on Saturday.
Scouting UNCW
The Seahawks enter the weekend in a four-way tie for first in the CAA standings - a deadlock which includes James Madison, Elon, and the Cougars at 2-1. UNCW carries an 11-12 overall record into the series after falling at Coastal Carolina on Wednesday, 13-2.
Casey Golden and Nick Feight pace the Seahawk offense with nine homers apiece, which places them tied for first the CAA. Feight leads UNCW with 21 RBIs compared to 18 for Golden. Friday starter Alex Royalty has thrown a team-high 35 innings with a 3-1 record and 32 strikeouts in six starts.
