LAKEPOINT, Ga. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team dropped a pair of 5-0 decisions to No. 7 LSU and sixth-seeded Florida Atlantic to conclude pool play at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championships on Saturday afternoon.
 
The two setbacks drop the College of Charleston to 11-11 for the season, as the Cougars end the campaign with a program-record 11 wins. The Cougars battled throughout both matches, as McKala Rhodes (Charleston, S.C.) and Krissy Mummey (Hudson, Ohio) fell in the second flight by scores of 21-15 and 22-20 against seventh-ranked LSU.
 
Against Florida Atlantic, Devon Rachel (Louisville, Ky.) and Allison Beckman (Apex, N.C.) forced a decisive third set in the fourth flight, but ultimately fell just short in a 15-21, 21-17, 10-15 setback. Lauren Hollman (Union, Ky.) and Katja Ehlers (Raleigh, N.C.) nearly sent the third flight to a third set, as they dropped a 12-21, 20-22 decision.
 
The Cougars are expected to return 15 letter-winners from this year's squad, including rising seniors Jane Feddersen (Leesburg, Va.), Riana Brennan (Los Gatos, Calif.), Mummey, and Hollman.
