CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team closes out the 2018 season with a road trip to Williamsburg, Va., for a Tuesday night matchup with William & Mary. With a win, The College can move into a tie for sixth position in the Colonial Athletic Association standings but will drop the tiebreaker to Drexel who hold a 2-0-1 record over Northeastern, Elon and the Cougars.

The Tribe sport a 2-3-2 conference record, 4-9-2 overall, and sit fifth in the CAA standings heading into the final game of the season. William & Mary are 2-1 in their last three conference games, picking up wins over Delaware and Drexel before falling in double overtime to UNCW on Saturday night. The two victories saw the Tribe climb the CAA table to confirm a spot in postseason play.
Series History
This will be the 14th meeting in history between the programs with Charleston trailing 2-9-2 overall. From 1991 to 1997, William & Mary held a 5-1 record over Charleston with the teams playing once in 2001 and once in 2003 before the Cougars switch to the CAA. Since the move, Charleston are 1-3-1 with the lone victory coming back in 2015; a 3-1 victory at Patriots Point.
Last Meeting with the Tribe
The teams battled to a 1-1 draw on Oct. 28, 2017 at Patriots Point. On senior day, The College clinched its highest post-season berth since joining the CAA with the draw, Bebjorn Krovel scoring midway through the second half to give Charleston the lead. Minutes later the Tribe leveled the game with Jake Nicholson striking the crossbar and having a goal ruled out for offside.
