DAVIDSON, N.C. – The College of Charleston men's tennis team (7-11) dropped its regular season finale, falling to the Davidson Wildcats (14-6) 6-1.
Davidson claimed the doubles point quickly, taking wins on courts two and three in a combined 15 games.
Juan Estevarena and
Benedikt Henning were forced to walk away from their flight one encounter with things still unfinished.
Estevarena scored the lone point of the match for the Cougars in second flight play, where he defeated Shamael Chaudhry 6-4, 6-2. Both Henning and
Easton Thomas were able to push their matchups to three sets on courts one and six respectively, but neither were able to seal the deal. Thomas in particular came very close, ultimately falling 10-8 in a third set super-tiebreak.
The Cougars will learn of their CAA Tournament seeding and pairing early next week.
