Senior (2018-19): All-CAA Singles First Team for second straight season... All-CAA Doubles Second Team for second straight year... Finished spring season with 17-3 record in flight one singles... After season opening los to #26 Harper at Virginia Tech, won 15 straight matches between Feb. 1 and Mar. 21, finally losing on Mar. 25 after battling injury in three-set loss to Sarrasague of Elon... Defeated half of nations #1 doubles duo in singles play, 6-2 6-2, over Patton of UNC Asheville... Earned All-CAA Doubles Second Team honors with partner Johnny Wang... Duo went 13-3 on the year, 13-2 in flight two... Spent 16 weeks in ITA/Oracle Doubles National Rankings at #36, #54 and #75... Opened the year with a 7-6 victory over #43 Korsgaard/Ribeiro of Virginia Tech... Won eight straight doubles matches between Mar. 11-27. 

Junior (2017-2018): Appeared in three fall tournaments... Dominant at the top of the lineup, going 11-5 in singles and 12-3 in doubles, which led to All-CAA honors in both categories... Played his most dominant singles matches from late February through the end of March, when he won eight out of nine encounters... Was well on his way to a CAA tournament victory against UNCW's ace Andres Torres, but the match was concluded prematurely with Henning leading 6-2, 3-2... Undefeated in his first nine doubles matches of the year before his first defeat of the season.

Sophomore (2016-17): Appeared in four fall tournaments, posting a singles record of 7-5 and a doubles record of 3-4 ...  Had an excellent outing at the prestigious ITA Carolinas Regionals, falling to the No. 4 seed Gabriel Friedrich before rallying for three straight wins against Andrew Torres of UNCW (7-6(4), 6-4), Ankush Arora of USC Upstate (7-5, 6-4) and Rick Saad of Davidson (7-6(4), 6-1) ... Was declared the No. 5 seed at the Georgia Southern Championships, where he proceeded to pick up a win against Martin Figura of S.C. State (5-7. 6-0, 6-1) ... Secured the Flight Two Singles Co-Championship at the CofC Classic by way of wins over Vladyslav Yanchenko of S.C. State (6-2, 6-2) and Freddie McGeehan of ECU (6-3, 6-4) ... Won the Flight Two Doubles Championship alongside Easton Thomas with a perfect 2-0 clip at the Charleston Classic ... Posted a 16-3 dual singles record, the best singles record in the entire CAA, playing exclusively at the No. 2 position ... Pulled off a 12-match unbeaten streak between March 5 and April 9, during which he was named the CAA Player of the Week on back-to-back weeks ... Picked up a pair of CAA Tournament wins over JMU's Paul Mendoza (6-3, 7-5) and UNCW's Agustin Savarino (7-5, 6-2) ... Went 8-12 in dual doubles play, teaming up with Easton Thomas, Alec Angradi and Vasily Kichigin over the course of the year ... Was named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week after winning back-to-back matches against NC Central and NC A&T 

Freshman (2015-16 at Norfolk State): MEAC Rookie of the Year… First-team All-MEAC accolades… MEAC Rookie of the Week on April 20, March 16 and 23 and Feb. 24... MEAC Player of the Week on Feb. 24… AD Honor Roll… Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete Team… Team MVP… Posted a 10-9 overall singles record, including 4-0 in MEAC play… Went 9-8 at the No. 1 spot and 1-1 at No. 2… Posted wins over players from James Madison, Creighton, South Dakota State, Bethune-Cookman, No. 70 William & Mary, Hampton, Howard and Morgan State… Won five matches in a row and eight of nine near the midway point of the season… Win over Bethune-Cookman came against first-team All-MEAC player Ward Gtari… Rallied to win third-set tiebreakers over Creighton, William & Mary and South Dakota State, the latter as part of a 5-2 NSU victory… Won at the No. 1 spot against Hampton in a 4-3 victory… Also posted a 7-11 doubles record, including 2-2 in conference action … Posted a 6-9 record at No. 1 doubles and a 1-2 mark at No. 2… Posted wins over tandems from James Madison, Creighton, South Dakota State, Hampton and Navy… Won once in singles at the regional… Won once at the USA F31 Futures event in the fall.
 
High School: Ranked in the top 20 of the German U-18 rankings... Ranked in top 280 of the men’s overall rankings in Germany… Reached as high as No. 18 in the U-16 European Tennis Association rankings… Went to school at Modellschule Obersberg in Bad Hersfeld.
 
Personal: Son of Angelika and Alwin Henning… Has one older sister, Anne… Majoring in psychology… Enjoys playing table tennis and hanging out with friends.
