CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's soccer team travel to Baltimore, Md., for a matchup against UMBC on Friday evening at 7 p.m. The teams meet for the first time in history with The College looking for its first road and second victory of the season.
Scouting UMBC
The Retrievers are 2-0-0 on the young season with wins over Temple and Rutgers to open the year. The last win, 3-2 over the Scarlet Knights, came in front of 2,828 fans on Monday night. UMBC was picked to finish fifth in the 2018 America East Preseason Poll.
Series History
This will be the first meeting in history between the two programs.

The College defeated Stetson, 2-1, on Sunday evening to close out the Aaron Olitsky Memorial Classic. Jake Nicholson and Tucker Heffron provided the goals; Heffron's a 25-yard strike into the bottom corner that proved to be the game winner. Tristin Kederer ended the game with four saves to help Charleston to the win.
