
UMBC Defeat Charleston in Baltimore

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team fell 3-0 to UMBC in Baltimore, Md., on Friday evening.
The Retrievers found the back of the net inside the opening ten minutes before doubling their lead in the 25th minute through a header.
A rain and lightning delay halted play seconds later with the teams finally reemerging to finish the game after a two hour wait.
Charleston tried to push forward in the opening minutes of the second half but couldn't find a way through the UMBC defense with the Retrievers wrapping the game up via the penalty spot in the 83rd minute after a handball in the Charleston box.
