CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's soccer team host North Florida on Wednesday evening in the final non-conference matchup before Colonial Athletic Association play begins.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. against the Osprey's at Patriots Point Soccer Complex, with tickets set at $6 for adults and $3 for youth (18 and under). Student entry is free with a valid form of ID.
Scouting North Florida
The Osprey's bring a 0-6-0 record to Charleston having dropped every game so far this season. UNF's record doesn't tell the whole story as the Osprey's have dropped their last three games to teams inside or receiving votes in the top-25 poll. UNF led No. 23 Tulsa for 60 minutes, eventually falling 3-2 on the road, before also falling to now nationally ranked Air Force at the USAF Academy in Colorado. A 4-0 loss to No. 6 Denver on Sunday is UNF's most recent result.
Series History
This will be the fourth meeting in history with the Cougars winning all three previous games, two at home and last season's meeting on the road.
Last Meeting with the Osprey's
The Cougars defeated UNF in Jacksonville, Fla., behind a two-goal performance from Jake Nicholson. Then a freshman, Nicholson scored his first and second collegiate goals for The College to move Charleston to 3-5-2 on the season.
Quotable – Head Coach Ralph Lundy
"We've had two great days of practice and I believe our players understand that we need to continue with quality play. North Florida is recently an NCAA Tournament team and they are looking for their first win of the season, so I know it will be a tough match just as our one goal victory was last year."
