HEAD COACH CHRISTIAN MICHNER
"I felt tonight's game was a tale of two halves. In the first half, we didn't really have a lot of energy and lacked that cutting edge. My team responded in the second half and really attacked a lot. We struggled to find the back of the net. I thought South Carolina State's keeper was fantastic but ultimately we got the goal we needed. We created a lot of chances and hopefully that springboards us for good things on Sunday at JMU."
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cougars are set to travel to Harrisburg, Va. to take on James Madison in Colonial Athletic Association play on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
