Dukes Host Cougars In CAA Showdown

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Soccer look to keep their momentum going when they travel to Harrisonburg, Va. to face off against conference foe JMU on Sunday, Oct. 13 with kick-off scheduled for 1 p.m.
Last Outing
The Cougars bounced back after losing two consecutive matches with a win over South Carolina State by a score of 1-0. Senior Talia Colchico scored the game-winner in the 48th minute to give CofC the win. The College held the edge in shots, 34-3, and shots on goal, 13-1. Sophomore Maggie Berlin and freshman Lindsay Stravolo combined for the clean sheet as Berlin made one save.
The Opponent
JMU comes into the match with an overall record of 4-9-1 with a 1-2-1 record in CAA play. The Dukes have taken on four Top-25 opponents this season in No. 7 Georgetown (L, 1-2), No. 23 Washington State (L, 3-6), No. 8 Penn State (L, 1-2) and No. 11 Duke (L, 0-6). Head coach is in the midst of his second season at the helm of the program. In his first season, he led the team to an 11-8-1 record and captured the 2018 CAA Regular Season Championship.
