Road Stint Continues For Cougars With Matchup Against William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – College of Charleston Women's Soccer will conclude its two-game road stint against William & Mary on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
Last Outing
The Cougars fell to Northeastern on the road in a tightly contested match by a score of 1-0. Junior keeper Meredith Holton did all she could in the matchup, recording a career-high nine saves. Junior Leah Deutsch logged a team-high four shots with three on target. In addition, six Cougars took a shot throughout the course of the match. CofC almost broke through at various points of the match but the Northeastern keeper gave a great effort in saving all six shots put on target by the Cougars.
The Opponent
The Tribe enter the match with an overall record of 4-10-2 and a conference record of 2-4-1. In their most recent matchup, they took down Drexel by a score of 2-1. Head coach Julie Shackford is in the midst of her second season at the helm of the program. The former national coach of the year has put up a 251-140-34 overall record as a head coach with stops at Princeton and Carnegie Mellon. The team is led by Sarah Segan and Alex Kuhnle who have scored a team-high four goals each.
