CofC Concludes Play In The ITA Carolina Regionals

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The College of Charleston Women's Tennis team concluded play in the ITA Carolina Regionals. The tournament was highlighted by the duo of freshmen Slade Coetzee and Halli Trinkle making it to the Round of 16 of the main doubles draw.
Coetzee and Trinkle teamed up in the main doubles draw and earned a win in the Round of 64 by a score of 8-5 and followed that up with a win in the Round of 32 by a score of 8-4.
In singles play, Trinkle took down NC State's Anna Brylin in straight sets in the Round of 64 of the singles A draw. She ultimately lost in the Round of 32 to Duke's Margaryta Bilokin.
Coetzee fell to No. 8 Anna Rogers of NC State in the Round of 64 of the singles A draw but earned a win in the consolation bracket in a second set tie breaker.
Sophomore Elizabeth Nowak took down Kendall Couch of South Carolina in the Round of 32 of the singles B draw in three sets, outscoring Couch 14-9 before falling to Rebecca Rubanov of Wofford in the quarterfinals.
Sophomore Victoria Walter was defeated in the singles B draw Round of 32 but bounced back in the consolation bracket, defeating Sofia Edo of Elon in straight sets. She will face off against Milica Panic of Gardner-Webb on Saturday.
