ATLANTA, Ga. --- Allison Beckman (Apex, N.C.) and
Logan Manusky (San Diego, Calif.) posted a pair of wins at four's to pace the College of Charleston beach volleyball team on Saturday at the Georgia State Diggin' Duals, as the Cougars split with University of Tampa and No. 19 Georgia State.
College of Charleston (14-2) opened the day with a 4-1 win over Tampa (10-8) before falling to the 19
th-ranked Panthers (17-9), 3-2, in the afternoon session.

Charleston picked up its 14
th win of the season with a 4-1 victory against Tampa in the morning session. Beckman and Manusky posted a 24-22, 21-16 win at four's, before
Katja Ehlers (Raleigh, N.C.) and
Taylor Foley (Agoura Hills, Calif.) won in straight sets at five's, 21-18 and 21-19.
McKala Rhodes (Charleston, S.C.) and
Devon Rachel (Louisville, Ky.) ran their season-opening win streak to 15 straight flights with a 21-15, 21-9 victory at two's to secure the team win, as
Kennedy Madison (Evansville, Ind.) and
Lauren Freed (Troy, Ohio) registered a 21-17, 21-18 decision at one's.
Mandy Napierala (Rochester, N.Y.) and
Amani Dunston (Agoura, Calif.) fell in a three-set battle at threes by scores of 17-21, 12-14, and 11-15.
No. 19 Georgia State 3, College of Charleston 2
The Cougars suffered their second loss of the season with a 3-2 heartbreaker to No. 19 Georgia State to begin the afternoon session. Beckman and Manusky posted their second win of the day with a gritty 21-17, 17-21, 17-15 victory at four's, as Ehlers and Foley fell 21-17, 21-18 at five's.
The Panthers took a 2-1 advantage with a 22-20, 21-16 decision against Napierala and Dunston at three's, before Rhodes and Rachel dropped their first flight of the season at two's with a 21-18, 21-18 setback. Madison and Freed picked up the Cougars' second point with a 21-15, 21-15 victory at one's.
Charleston returns to the courts on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13 at the Palmetto Invitational in Columbia, S.C. The Cougars will take on Missouri State at 11:00 a.m. and UNCW at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, followed by duals against Tulane and South Carolina on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., respectively.
