CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team is set to host Carson-Newman, Florida Southern, Huntingdon, and Texas A&M Kingsville in the CofC Beach Bash this weekend at Creekside Swim and Tennis Club. Admission is free.
 
Charleston opened the season with a perfect 3-0 record at the North Florida Invitational last weekend, defeating UNCW, Saint Leo, and North Florida. Three pairings swept their weekend matches, led by the Cougars' top duo of Kennedy Madison (Evansville, Ind.) and Lauren Freed (Troy, Ohio).

The Cougars will kick off the weekend with two matches against Florida Southern on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Charleston is scheduled to face Texas A&M Kingsville and Huntingdon on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., respectively, before closing out the weekend with a 2:00 p.m. match against Carson-Newman on Sunday.
