The Short Story: Freshman Caitlyn Gonzalez and sophomore Mary Waters led the way for the Cougars to earn the Silver Cup for the 19^th consecutive year. CofC moves to 4-3 on the season and is on a two-game win streak.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Gonzalez scored the first goal of the match in the 75^th minute when she received a Colchico pass and let one fly into the top left 90.
• In the 84^th minute, Gonzalez sealed the win for the Cougars when she rocketed a ball into the bottom left side of the net from a Freitas pass.
• The Cougars put on a strong offensive performance in the first half, with 11 shots and four shots on goal but couldn't find the back of the net.
• Junior Maggie Berlin logged her first save of the match in the 16^th minute to keep the Buccaneers from taking the lead.

"Another great Silver Cup win for the Cougars. We were tested and had to really battle to get the win, but this team fought to the finish and got a well-deserved victory. I'm so proud of how this group has responded all season long. It's not easy to win this game as many times in a row as we have, so a huge credit goes out to the players for getting the job done and keeping the cup downtown. We will have a quick recovery before lacing them up again on Friday evening."
