
Charleston Falls to Dukes in CAA Opener

HARRISONBURG, Va. --- Mandy Napierala led the way with eight kills and two blocks as College of Charleston fell to James Madison in straight sets on Saturday afternoon in the Cougars' first Colonial Athletic Association match of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dukes registered nine more kills than the Cougars in three less attempts, and collected eight blocks while holding the Cougars to a .045 hitting percentage. James Madison's offense combined for 39 kills and a .178 hitting percentage as Briley Brind'Amour put down a match-high 10 kills. The Dukes finished with five service aces compared to two for the Cougars as Charleston's defense registered seven blocks.
COUGAR OF THE MATCH
Redshirt freshman Claire Campbell collected four kills on 11 attempts without an error while accounting for a team-high five blocks.
