CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Men's Soccer is set to travel to Clinton, S.C. to face off against Presbyterian for its first road match of the season on Friday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season.
Last Outing
The Cougars fell Georgia Southern in the final match of the Aaron Olitsky Memorial Soccer Classic on Sept. 1 by a score of 2-0. Steven Cahill and Rio Murray each took a team-high two shots, with Cahill recording one on goal.
The Opponent
Presbyterian is coming off a season in which it finished with an overall record of 8-12 and a 7-3 record in conference play. The Blue Hose fell to Campbell in the Big South Title game by a score of 1-0. They were selected fourth in the Big South Preseason Poll for the second consecutive year. The 2017 Big South Champions are coached by Jonathan Potter, who is in the midst of his fourth season at the helm of the program. He has accumulated an overall record of 21-33-8 with a 12-10-2 conference record.
