CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Basketball looks to get back on track with a road trip north to James Madison on Friday, Feb. 14 with tip-off scheduled for noon.
Last Outing
The College fell to Elon at TD Arena on Pink Day by a score of 85-57 despite senior Deja Ford's historical day. Ford became the 28th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point milestone as she recorded 11 points. Sophomores Tyler Collins and Latrice Perkins poured in 18 and 12 points, respectively, while Collins also dished out four assist and registered four steals. The Cougars started the game on the right track, scoring seven points to the Phoenix's two. The entire first half was a back-and-forth scoring affair as Elon led by just one at the half. CofC let up 30 critical points in the third quarter, giving Elon a lead it never gave back.

James Madison comes into the game with a 17-4 overall record and a 8-2 CAA record. They currently sit at second in the conference standings, only behind a Drexel team The College defeated in its CAA opener. The Dukes most recent matchup resulted in a 81-39 win over Towson.
Head coach Sean O'Regan is in the midst of his fourth season at the helm of the program. He has an overall head coaching record of 95-29, all with the Dukes. Last season, he led his team to the semifinals of the WNIT Tournament before losing to Northwestern 74-69.
The team is led by Kamiah Smalls, who averages 18.7 points per game, which ranks second in the CAA. The Dukes also bolster the CAA-leading rebounder in Kayla, Cooper-Williams, who grabs 10 a game.

- Senior Deja Ford earned her first CAA Player of the Week honors for the week of 12/30 through 1/5 after scoring 59 points while leading the Cougars to three wins.
- Arynn Eady has four double-doubles on the season while Latrice Perkins has three.
- Perkins and Collins became the first Cougars since 2015 to score at least 29 points in a single game.
- The Cougars forced 33 turnovers against Coker on Nov. 12 which tied the most in a single game since 2010 when CofC took down Wofford.
- Perkins earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Nov. 6-12).
- Eady earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season for play through Nov. 13-19 and Jan. 22-28.
- Ford earned Harris Teeter Student-Athlete of the Week honors (Dec. 30-Jan. 5).
- Ford was named a Preseason All-CAA Honorable Mention.
