CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston Women's Tennis returns to action for the battle of the Lowcountry as the Cougars face off against Charleston Southern on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m.

CofC enters the match with a 3-2 overall record, most recently defeating South Carolina State with a clean 7-0 sweep. The Cougars two losses came to then No. 24 Wake Forest and ACC powerhouse Clemson while its two other wins came against Gardner-Webb in the season opener and North Carolina A&T.

"This is our largest stretch thus far without a match in the spring, so we're very anxious to get back to playing outside competition. Charleston Southern will be a great challenge and its one of the favorites to win the Big South. We will have to be at our best to be victorious in this rivalry match."

Charleston Southern comes into the match with an overall record of 2-1. In its season opener, the Buccaneers opened up their spring season with a loss at North Carolina but bounced back the next day as they faced off against Elon at home and won by a score of 5-2. In CSU's most recent matchup, the Bucs took down Columbus State by a close margin of 4-3.
