CHARLESTON, S.C. – With the primary focus on public health and safety, College of Charleston Athletics has significantly modified game day event protocols for baseball, softball, men's and women's soccer and men's and women's tennis, at its Patriots Point Athletic Complex located in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
This spring season, CofC received approval from the South Carolina Department of Commerce to welcome spectators at Patriots Point at a reduced capacity of 50 percent at the CofC Baseball Stadium, CofC Softball Stadium, Ralph Lundy Field and CofC Tennis Center.
All precautions taken by the athletics department are consistent with the Governor's guidance for the State of South Carolina as well as with guidance from local, federal and College of Charleston officials.
Fans are asked to help do their part to create a safe environment for all by: (1) staying home if sick or running a fever, (2) frequently washing hands, (3) using hand sanitizer and (4) maintaining physical distance from other guests.
Face coverings (over the nose and mouth) will be required as a condition of all guest entry and throughout the Patriots Point Athletic Complex, unless actively eating or drinking. Restroom capacities will be limited and hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the complex.
Gates to the Patriots Point Athletic Complex will open one prior to first pitch/kickoff. Available seats will be properly socially distanced according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) guidelines.
Seats in the CofC Baseball Stadium will be designated with an "approved seat" sticker. Any unmarked seats within the CofC Baseball Stadium will not be allowable seat locations.
The Clear Bag Policy, which was implemented during the 2019-20 season, remains in effect for all sporting events on campus. Click HERE for a list of approved and prohibited bags.
A full list of additional facility operational measures can be found at the below links for each respective sport and are subject to change based on recommendations from College of Charleston leadership, the Colonial Athletic Association and public health officials.
