CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The College of Charleston beach volleyball team will make the journey back to Jacksonville, Fla. this weekend to participate in the UNF Beach Spring Fling on Saturday and Sunday on the North Florida campus. The Cougars will face North Florida twice, once on Saturday and once on Sunday, in addition to matchups with North Alabama and Eckerd.
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars went 0-4 at the Coastal Carolina Invitational with setbacks to No. 16 Stetson, No. 13 South Carolina, UNCW and Coastal Carolina.
THE OPPONENTS
North Florida comes into the weekend with a 5-3 record after falling to No. 14 Stetson on Thursday.
North Alabama is 3-4 on the season with a pair of sweeps of Huntingdon under its belt.
Eckerd carries a 2-4 mark into the weekend having lost three in a row to Mercer, Tampa and Florida Gulf Coast.
NOTABLES
- The Cougars are looking to snap a five-match losing streak.
- Ella Reames and Maria Zweig lead the way for the Cougars with a 7-1 record on the season. Their only setback came to South Carolina in three sets last weekend.
- Sky Benjamin and Rebeca Olariu are 4-4 on the season including two victories against UNCW's top pairing.
