
Cameron Smith Named CAA Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, VA. – College of Charleston redshirt junior goalkeeper Cameron Smith has been selected the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after recording a shutout of nationally-ranked UNCW on Saturday.
Smith (Lexington, S.C./Lexington) made four saves to spearhead a 110-minute defensive effort from the Cougar backline to preserve a 0-0 draw against the No. 12 Seahawks. UNCW finished with 14 shot attempts and took 20 corner kicks in the game.
In recording his first clean sheet of the season, Smith lowered his season goals against average to 0.90 in two starts.
