Men's Soccer Reveals 2026 Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston men's soccer head coach Keith Wiggans announced the team's 2026 schedule Wednesday morning.
"I'm excited about the squad we've been able to put together for the 2026 season," said Wiggans. "The CAA matchups with the South Division are always going to be tough, especially with Elon being the defending champions. Last season, after going 1-2-1 against the South Division the first time around, I was pleased with the adjustments we made to go 2-1-1 in our second matchups against conference opponents to close out the year. We need to start on the front foot during conference play this season."
Featuring three 2025 NCAA tournament teams, the Cougars are set to play 16 matches with eight at home and eight on the road during the 2026 campaign. Charleston hosts Furman (Oct. 6), a team that made the 2025 College Cup before falling to the eventual national champion Washington Huskies. CofC will also face off with North Florida (Oct. 13) and Elon (Sept. 19/Oct. 10) who both made the big dance last year.
"Out of conference, we put together a good schedule," said Wiggans. "We open the season hosting Davidson, who is historically a very strong program, before closing out the opening weekend with Florida Gulf Coast. We will also play at South Carolina and host 2025 Final Four Furman at Patriots Point. Other out of conference games are on the road at North Florida, Mercer, and South Carolina Upstate."
In conference play, CofC will play a home-and-home with all four teams in the South Division for a total of eight CAA contests during the 2026 season.
The Cougars kick off the season at home with a match against Davidson at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 at Patriots Point. Charleston will continue its opening homestand against Florida Gulf Coast (Aug. 23) before rounding out the week at Patriots Point with a Coastal Athletic Association match and the conference opener versus Campbell (Aug. 28).
The Cougars begin September with their first road match against CAA opponent William & Mary (Sept. 5) and finish the month with CAA contests at Elon (Sept. 19) and at home against UNCW (Sept. 27). The non-conference slate in September is highlighted by a road match at South Carolina (Sept. 15).
Charleston opens October with a trip to Campbell (Oct. 3), while CofC is set to host William & Mary (Oct. 17) and visit UNCW (Oct. 24) to close out CAA play. Non-conference in the month of October features two NCAA Tournament teams from the year before with a home match against Furman and a trip to North Florida on the docket.
The 2026 CAA Men's Soccer Championship will feature six teams and is set for Nov. 5-14.
"I'm very excited about this team," said Wiggans. "We're going to motivate and push each other to be the best version of ourselves and have a successful 2026 season!"
All home matches will take place at Patriots Point Soccer Stadium with free admission.
